Description
Le Prieuré by Château Ksara is a tribute to the winery’s storied heritage, its name echoing the historic belltower of the original Jesuit estate. This handcrafted red blend - composed of Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Caladoc- celebrates the timeless art of winemaking that began centuries ago and continues today in the same traditional concrete vats.
Each grape variety contributes its own voice to the blend:
- Cinsault imparts freshness and soft fruit.
- Caladoc and Mourvèdre provide aromatic depth and spice.
- Carignan lends structure, length, and finesse.
After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures 14–18 months in cement tanks, preserving purity and balance. The result is a ruby-red wine brimming with aromas of blackberries, cherries, spice, licorice, and wild Mediterranean herbs (garrigue).
Food Pairing:
Le Prieuré’s supple character makes it a delightful companion to both simple and elaborate dishes — from cheese and charcuterie boards to roasted meats, stews, savory pies, and Mediterranean mezze.
Awards:
Le Prieuré has earned numerous gold and silver medals in international competitions, including the Berlin Wine Trophy, Decanter World Wine Awards, Mundus Vini, and International Wine & Spirit Competition — affirming its quality and enduring reputation
